Welcome! My name is Jessica Keenan and I teach second grade at Holy Family School.
Since I was young, I always knew it was my passion to become a teacher. I began my journey in the spring of 2010 when I graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Education 1-6. Shortly after, I pursued my Master’s Degree at Touro College where I graduated with a degree in Education and Special Education 1-6. I continued my education by completing an extension in Early Childhood Education and Special Education Birth-6.
In the fall of 2010, I began my career working at Holy Family School as a kindergarten teacher’s assistant. In 2011 and 2012, I worked as a special education teacher’s aide in both first and second grade inclusion classrooms in the Island Trees School District. In 2013, I happily returned to Holy Family School as a full-time classroom teacher. Currently, I teach second grade. Teaching at Holy Family School is truly an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
I am happily married to my husband, Michael. We have two beautiful children, Parker and Olivia, who are the light of our lives and bring us so much joy everyday. Outside of the classroom, a few of my favorite things to do are going to the beach, crafting, shopping, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.
