I attended Adelphi University and received a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.S, in Reading.

How long have you been a teacher:

My teaching career began as a substitute teacher, and then I taught Pre-Kindergarten in a nursery school. I began as a Kindergarten teacher at Holy Family School. I currently teach third grade and this is my twenty-eighth year teaching at Holy Family School. Prior to teaching third grade, I also taught second and fourth grades.

“Be Strong & Courageous For the Lord, Your God is With You, Wherever You Go.”
    Joshua 1:3

    Favorite Book

    2022 - 2023 School Year

What can students look forward to when they join your class?
Third grade is an exciting time because the students are introduced to cursive writing, and they master the multiplication tables. Third graders can be challenged by completing the Multiplication Race and being on the Multiplication Wall of Fame. Developing comprehension and writing skills is a focus for ELA. Novel studies will be introduced this year as well. Several book reports will be completed by the students. All their writing samples are collected and saved to be put into a Portfolio that the students can look forward to bringing home in June. Students can also look forward to going to Safety Town in Eisenhower Park.

    Message to the Parents
I am grateful to be a part of such a caring school and community. Every new school year, I look forward to developing new relationships with my students and families.
