"Making a difference, one child at a time."
What is your education?
I have attended Catholic Elementary and High Schools my whole life and grew up with parents that were also Catholic School teachers. These schools have a very special place in my heart and I am so excited to be able to share my faith with each one of the students. I attended Holy Trinity Diocesan High School and graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor's Degree in Hispanic Language and Literature. I currently attend Mercy College as a Graduate Student pursuing a Dual Masters of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and Childhood Education with a Bilingual Extension.
Favorite Saint?
Kateri Tekakwitha, patroness of the environment, ecology, and Native Americans.
Favorite Quote?
“If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart” - Nelson Mandela
Favorite Book?
My favorite books are the Harry Potter series, a children’s book I wrote when I was younger that was digitally published, and Dracula.
What can students look forward to when they join your class?
This year, students can look forward to learning about different cultures and how language varies in Spanish speaking countries. They will explore the different cultural traditions that these various countries have during their holiday seasons. They will also be able to learn how to engage in conversations with others and the importance of reading and writing in another language. Students will learn how to pray in Spanish and explore how our catholic holidays are celebrated around the world. I cannot wait to share my knowledge and love of language with my students!
Message to Parents
Thank you for choosing Holy Family School! I look forward to working with your child on their language skills. I consider myself very lucky and honored to be a part of the Holy Family School community because it is not just a school community, we are truly a loving Faith filled family. Honestly, I could not ask for a better second family than the one I have here at Holy Family. I hope that you feel the same when sending your child to Holy Family School. If you have any questions, comments, or just want to say hello, please feel free to email me.
