"Making a difference, one child at a time."
My name is Mrs. Puzo and I have been teaching at Holy Family since 2016. I am the 6th & 7th grade Science teacher, as well as the 6-8th grade ELA teacher.
I grew up in Bellerose, Queens and then moved to Long Island in 2014. I attended St. Gregory the Great School from N-8th and Kellenberg Memorial from 9th-12th. In 2015, I graduated with my Bachelors in Early Childhood (B-2)/Childhood (1-6) Education from Molloy College. In May 2015, I graduated from Molloy College with my Masters in Special Education.
I started my career teaching 4th grade at Our Lady of Victory in Floral Park. After a year of teaching at OLV, I came to Holy Family. I’ve taught 4th grade here at Holy Family for four years and 5/6th grade science for two years. Working at Holy Family has been an amazing experience. I get excited to come to work everyday because of the students, the faculty and staff. I feel grateful to be part of such a wonderful school and community.
What can students look forward to when they join your class?
I am so excited to be your Science & ELA teacher! I look forward to watching you grow academically, socially, and emotionally throughout this school year. My goal this year is to open your eyes to the scientific world! It may be challenging at times, but we will get through it together and Science will be your favorite subject come June!
Message to Parents
Welcome and thank you for choosing Holy Family School! I am thrilled to have your child in my class this year. As much as I look forward to spending the year getting to know each student, I equally look forward to getting to know their parents as well. My goal this year, and every year, is to make the children feel safe in my classroom. I want them to look forward to coming to school everyday. The same applies for their parents as well. By choosing Holy Family School, you already know that you are sending your child into a safe and loving environment. Parent/teacher communication is key to a successful school year. Not only can you reach me through email, but you can also message me through the Remind app. Thank you!
