"Making a difference, one child at a time."
My name is Mrs. Ferreri and I have been a part of Holy Family School since 2001 when my daughter and oldest son started 2nd grade and Pre-K here. My children were so blessed to begin their Holy Family School experience with Mrs. Schiraldi and Mrs. Buckley! We've loved Holy Family School ever since! All three of my children graduated from Holy Family School and then graduated from three different Catholic High Schools. Kiley, my oldest, graduated from Kellenberg Memorial and then Fairfield University. She is now teaching 3rd grade in CT. Zach graduated from Holy Trinity and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics from Florida State University. Ben graduated from Chaminade and recently graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. He received his degree in Computer & Electrical Engineering. My husband and I have been married for 29 years and are truly thankful. We are strong proponents of Catholic Education.
I received my Bachelor of Arts from Providence College and soon after moved from MA to NY to join the business world where I met my husband. I took a few years off to raise my family and then worked part time at HFS. I have always had a love and appreciation of art and enjoy sharing my love of art with your children. I have been teaching Art to Kindergarten through 6th grade. This year, I will add 7th & 8th grades to my palate! I hope to instill a love of art in all of them and see what we can make out of our "Beautiful Oops"!

Message to Students
Welcome Back all of my former students and all our new students! This year I will be teaching grades K-8 and am excited to begin creating with each grade. We will explore different mediums and skills throughout each grade level. I am excited to create with you and see you shine! Creativity is inherent in all of us, we just have to relax and let it flow! We will experiment with different processes, practice our skills, and have fun!

Message to Parents
I look forward to creating this year with your child/children. As we create, we will be learning the elements of art and experiment using several different mediums. "Every Child is an Artist" Pablo Picasso
Please take a look at some of the beautiful artwork that we created last year. I enjoy showcasing the students’ work in our hallways and on our website. Each grade from Kindergarten through 8th grade listened to “The Dot” by Peter H. Reynolds and created their own mark. Each student created two different works, one drawing and one printing for the project. Some classes also described their work on flipgrid and told us how they will make their mark on the world! Inspiring! We are also working on a Diamond quilt inspired by the fabric artist and quilter, Tula Pink. I look forward to showing you the final work. We added a math problem into the mix and some students came up with the amount of paper we will need for the project. We would need 3 feet x 25.25 feet of paper to place all of our squares onto the background! We discovered that we need even more if they are placed on the diagonal! Math and Art go hand in hand! Another collaborative piece was worked on by our 6th grade and is a replica of Mother Teresa, our Saint of the Month. Each student created one square and worked together with their classmates to make sure all the lines matched up. They were amazed when it was all put together. It is so amazing to see what can happen when we all work together. It is my pleasure to create with your children! Please remember to continue to check out my page for photos of our projects. Please reach out to me with any questions.
