My name is Miss Murray and this is my second year teaching at Holy Family School. Last year I taught 5th and 6th Grade ELA and 6th Grade Religion. I am so excited to be a Kindergarten teacher this year! 

I grew up in Utica, NY and received my Bachelor’s Degree from Utica College in Criminal Justice and Psychology in 2016. After graduating, I realized that being a teacher had always been my dream and decided to pursue that for my Master’s Degree in Education. I received my Masters Degree from Grand Canyon University. I was a permanent sub for 2 years in the Utica School District teaching K-6, and Reading. I was a Pre-K Teacher’s Assistant in a Special Education school and I also co-taught Kindergarten for one year. My favorite teaching memory thus far is having the opportunity to travel to Tanzania, Africa and teach English to students in a school!

Besides teaching, I love spending time with my family, friends and my two crazy dogs (Adi and Jango). I have a passion for anything outdoors such as hiking, kayaking, skiing, snowmobiling, etc. I look forward to this school year and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work in such a wonderful school!
