My name is Mrs. Tota.  This is my 17th year at Holy Family School.  I received my B.S. from Marywood University in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and my M.S. from Dowling College in Literacy Education.  I have my permanent NYS certification.  I  taught 4th grade at Our Lady of Peace in Lynbrook and St. Patrick's School in Huntington  At Holy Family I have taught the Nursery and AIS classes, and have been teaching Pre-K for the past 14  years.

My husband and I are blessed with three children, Christopher, Ryan and Katie, and the proud grandparents of Addison.  All three children attended Holy Family Regional School in Commack, as well as Chaminade, St. John the Baptist, and Our Lady of Mercy Academy.  Christopher graduated from Holy Cross College and received a master's degree from Providence College in education and is currently teaching biology in Massachusetts. Chris and his wife Laura are the parents of our beautifulnAddison.   Ryan and Katie both  graduated from St. Michael's College in Vermont. Ryan is currectly co-owner in a family business, and is getting married to Alexandra this October. Katie is persuing her love in environmental studies and is working at a greenhouse in Massachucetts.  Katie and Kyle will be getting married in August 2024. A  s you can see, Catholic Education has played a important part in raising my family and I hope to share those values with the students I teach. All great things are happening in the tota Family!

 I am lucky to have a second home in the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York.  I enjoying spending my free time with my family and friends in the country enjoying the the different seasons, taking care of my apple trees and my bees. Bee keeping has become a new hobby and I love sharing stories with my students!  I love the summer, spending time at the beach and paddleboarding. Winter is by far my favorite!  I am an avid snowboarder and a former volunteer ski patroller at Belleayre Mountain.
