"Making a difference, one child at a time."
Our 5th grade students each created a square or two to complete this beautiful piece of Art. Some of the girls stayed after school to help put it all together! The last time we created this collaborative was 6 years ago when our current 8th graders were in 2nd grade. They were proud to also take a photo in front of the 5th graders work!
We are so proud of our 6th, 7th & 8th grade students on their induction into the National Junior Honor Society. The students work hard to be inducted and to keep their standing.
The families had a great time at our Smoked Barn Funraiser! The kids enjoyed karaoke, some dancing and excellent food! Thank you to Smoked Barn for hosting a fun event for all!
Won't you be our neighbor?
Today the 4th grade had to create a candy box for Valentine"s Day. Their goal was to fit 6 pieces of candy into a heart shaped box made out of card stock and construction paper. The pieces of candy had to fit perfectly in the box. They had to be flat, they couldn’t overlap each other, and they had to fit snug in the box. They were able to bring home their creation and give to their own valentine!
Here are some shots from today's fun. Our STREAM Challenge was: 'How many toy bears can fit in a tin foil boat before sinking?'. Two trials were completed to improve our boat models. Teams worked beautifully while using the 4 C's of STREAM.....Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking and Creativity!
Also pictured above are photos from Mrs. Tota's Pre-K Class. They read the book, The Dot, and created using DOTS and toothpicks. They also made their "mark" on the world by stamping their fingerprints on the Earth!
